About the product
Name of the Series: Tower Design: Espen Hanefelt Kristensen Esben Hanefelt Kristensen (born 1952) is known and loved for, among other things, his illustrations for the Pictorial Bible, while Saxo's Chronicles of Denmark, also illustrated by Esben Hanefelt Kristensen, was published in 2000. He usually works in a poetical and magical universe, or as he himself puts it: "On a distant offshoot of the very first wind I let myself be carried over land and water to the places where it is still morning for the first time. Here I understood that the present is the time of creation and always has been. Hosanna - the trees are still singing!''
Esben Hanefelt Kristensen's fairytale motifs are perfect for the prestigeous new porcelain towers and bonbonnières of Royal Copenhagen. The towers are richly ornamented and entirely in keeping with Esben Hanefelt Kristensen's predilection for mixing Arabian, Indian, Celtic and Oriental style elements. The square shape of the three towers is very diffucult to produce and thus a tangible evidence of Royal Copenhagens 225 years of excellent craftsmanship. Technique: Underglaze
