Magnolia was designed by Flemming Eskildsen, who qualified as a silversmith at Georg Jensen's.Georg Jensen is the source of inspiration for form as well as decoration. The design was inspired by the beautifully rounded Magnolia-cutlery and the silver tableware from 1907 of the same name. Both were named after Georg Jensen's house- keeper - and later his wife - Maren Pedersen or "Magne", as he called her.
