About the product
2011 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate, designed by Sven Vestergaard, has the title Waiting for Santa Claus. The story tells that the first Christmas tree was introduced in Copenhagen in 1811 by a young man and his family. The candles on the tree caused a lot of interest from the people on the street in Copenhagen and yet is was not a tradition before several years later. Today is the beautiful tree with candles and homemade decorations pivotal point of our Danish Christmas Eve. The 2011 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate shows the boy waiting for Santa Claus.
