It illustrates the joyful anticipation of Christmas in two generations- children and grandparents. The children think it is great fun when their grandparents come visiting at Christmas, for they arrive in the little town loaded with presents. They are a little tired after their long journey, but the joyful welcome from their grand- children brings a sparkle to their eyes, and soon the whole family will be gathered in the glow of the Christmas lights.
