1934 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate, designed by Oluf Jensen, has as its motif a Scene from the deepark outside Copenhagen with the hunting lodge The 1934 Christmas plate shows the Deer Park, north of Copenhagen. The Deer Park is known for its large population of deer, and for its numerous typically Danish trees, i.e. beech, oak and birch. At the centre of the plate we see The Hermitage castle,designed by Laurids de Thura,and built by Christian VI in 1736, as a hunting lodge. This wood is now open to the public. At the border of the plate, we see stylihed cones, and at the top the Christmas star is shining. Royal Copenhagen 1934 Christmas plate was only produced in 1934.
