1984 Gustavsberg special Christmas plate

1984 Gustavsberg Special Edition Christmas Plate, Christmas Platter No. 12.

This 1984 Gustavsberg Christmas plate in blue and white tones depicts 3 gnomes, possibly a gnome family, pulling and pushing a sled loaded with gifts, one of which is addressed to 'mother'. The journey takes them through a forest with a cottage visible in the background. This special edition, with a diameter of 20 cm, is not only a collectible but also an ideal lunch plate that can contribute to the festive mood at Christmas lunches or as an elegant starter plate for Christmas Eve dinner.

This plate has been made to special order in 1,500 copies, after which the original plate is destroyed. No further production occurs. The motif is based on a drawing made by Jenny Nyström in 1884, "Christmas Eve". The drawing has been processed by Anita Svedjerot.

*Please note that the plate has no holes on the back and is supplied without a hanger. To hang up the plate, a separate hanger must be purchased.
