About the product
Plate No. 3 in the Danish Steam Friends series titled "Danish Railway Stations" The porcelain plate was designed by Greti Hansen and produced by Millhouse.
Information on the back of the plate:
Osterport Station was built in 1897 based on designs by architect H. Wenck, as the starting station for the Coast Line. When the Boulevard Line opened in 1917, the building's beautiful tower was demolished and replaced with a flat structure, which housed a command post. In 1983, the building underwent extensive and respectful restoration under building inspector MAA Leif Hernø. It was restored to its original appearance, including the addition of a newly constructed tower according to the original drawings, partly funded by private donors, following encouragement from journalist and railway enthusiast Henrik V. Ringsted.
