1979 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate, designed by Henry Thelander,depicts almost every Dane's dreams, white Christmas, which is also the title of the plate. The scene is a nostalgic retrospect of Christmas in the old days in a Danish village. On one side of the street we find the village baker and on the other the village grocer. The children of the village are looking through the window at the grocery store's Christmas display, and a family are on their way home from Christmas shopping. In the background we see one of Denmark's numerous windmills.
