About the product
1913 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate, designed by Th.Larsen, bears the title Bringing home the Christmas Tree. Bing & Grondahl's Christmas plate from 1913 depicts a man bringing home his Christmal tree. This tradition of going to the wood choosing a tree, cutting it down, and bringing it home has been upheld by many families in Denmark up to our time. The tradition of bringing a Christmas tree into the Danish homes and decorating it is a relatively new tradition, as the first Christmas tree was seen at Holsteinborg castle in 1808.
