1904 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate, designed by Cathinks Olsen, has as its motif a View of Copenhagen from Frederiksberg Hill. Bing & Grondahl's Christmas plate from 1904 depicts the view from Frederiksberg garden. This motif is almost the same as on the 1895 plate, where the view, though, is seen from inside the castle. The buildings seen in the background are the same, except for the building daiplayed in the right side of this plate, Copenhagen's city hall, which was built from 1892-1905. Right inside the gates, a statue of King Frederik VI , who changed the garden from a baroque to an English landscape garden with canals, is found. Frederiksberg garden is now a recreative area for the public, and the citizens of Copenhagen frequently make outings to Frederiksberg Garden in the summer.
