Danish Marine plate The Royal Yacht "Dannebrog"
Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and his Royal Highness Prince Henrik's ship "Dannebrog" built at the naval dock in 1932 for King Christian X and Queen Alexandrine. Later used by King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid. "Dannebrog" is name of a ship is the sixth in the navy with this name. The first royal ship bearing the name "Dannebrog" was a paddle steamer. Built in 1897 Dannebrog is named after the order of Dannebrog which was instituted in 1671 by King Christian V. The bow is decorated with bowsprit and a gilded figure-head in an antique classic style. In 1980-81 the ship went through an extensive reconditioning at the yard in Helsingør. Length: 80 m Beam: 10,4m Draught: 3,7m Crew: 51 Displacement: 1.130 t. Engine: 2 Alpha/Diesel 1860 HP Speed: 13 Knots
