About the item

2001 Bing & Grondahl Mother's Day plate with the title Seal with Pup was designed by Finn Clausen. Seals live together in small groups and generally move within a fixed territory. The females give birth to one pup at a time. The pup is suckled by its mother and can soon accompany her when she swims in the sea. The Bing & Grondahl Mothers Day plates were started in 1969 and are still being continued with a new Mother's Day plate every year.
