The pandas are in their right place with bamboo around them. The panda is a very threatened animal and unfortunately there are born very few pandas, neither in nature nor in captivity. The young panda leaves the mother when it is approximately 1½ year old. The Bing & Grondahl Mothers Day plates were started in 1969 and are still being continued with a new Mother's Day plate every year.
