This 1990 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate was issued to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the first Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate in 1895. The motif of this 1990 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate is the same as the motif of the 1953 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate. The title of this plate is The Royal yacht Dannebrog (vessel owned by the King or Queen of Denmark) in Greenland waters. The Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate was designed by Kjeld Bonfils. The Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee Plates were started in 1915 and are still being continued with a new Jubilee plate every fifth year which is manufactured in underglaze.
