This 1945 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate was issued to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate in 1895. The motif of this 1945 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate is the same as the motif of the 1936 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate. The title of this plate is The Royal Guard outside Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen. The Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate was designed by Ove Larsen. The Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee Plates were started in 1915 and are still being continued with a new Jubilee plate every fifth year.
