This 1940 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate was issued to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the first Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate in 1895. The motif of this 1940 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate is the same as the motif of the 1901 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate. The title of this plate is The Three Wise Men from the East. The Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate was designed by S. Sabra. The Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee Plates were started in 1915 and are still being continued with a new Jubilee plate every fifth year.
