The motif on the 2025 Christmas plaque depicts the large, beautiful Christmas tree at the Town Hall Square in Copenhagen. The tradition of having a Christmas tree in front of Copenhagen's Town Hall dates all the way back to 1914. On the Christmas plaque, a young boy is also seen out Christmas shopping with his mother, lucky enough to meet Santa Claus and greet him. Santa carries a large sack full of presents, while both the mother and son are holding shopping bags filled with Christmas gifts. The Christmas tree is beautifully decorated with strings of lights, illuminating the winter darkness and adding to the cozy Christmas atmosphere in the streets of Copenhagen.
