Royal Copenhagen monkey figurine no. 721 orangutans embracing

Royal Copenhagen monkey figurine no. 721 depicts two orangutans close together in a calm and moving composition. The figurine has a warm, intimate expression, where the two monkeys lean in toward each other in a quiet embrace. The soft lines and the close grouping give the motif an unusually human feeling of safety, togetherness and care.

Knud Kyhn is known for his lifelike animal depictions, and this is clearly felt here. The characterful faces, the long arms and the gathered, almost protective posture give the figurine weight and personality. The glaze appears in subdued brownish and light shades, which emphasize the model's organic forms and give the surface depth. On the figurine, the incised signature "K Kyhn" can be seen.

It is a porcelain figurine that appeals both to collectors of Royal Copenhagen and to you who want an animal figurine with more narrative than decoration. The motif makes it suitable in the living room, on a shelf, in the display cabinet or as a special gift for someone who appreciates classic Danish design and figurines with warmth and presence. The figurine stands beautifully on its own, but can also be combined with other animal figurines for a personal and atmospheric expression in the interior.

Older figurines like this have a special presence. They are created with an eye for form, durability and artistic quality, and that is precisely why it makes sense to let them live on in modern homes. A figurine with history adds soul and character and is at the same time a sustainable choice for you who value good craftsmanship that lasts through generations.
