Royal Copenhagen rooster figurine 1126 or 087 - Christian Thomsen

Royal Copenhagen rooster figurine 1126 / 087 is a classic porcelain figurine with a calm, lifelike expression and a distinctive silhouette. The rooster stands upright and alert with raised head, curved tail, and fine modeling in the plumage, which gives the figurine life from every angle. The light glaze and the discreet color details on comb, beak, and legs emphasize the simple and characterful design language that makes older animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen so sought-after.

The figurine is designed by Christian Thomsen, who is known for his convincing depictions of animals in porcelain. Here the motif is rendered with a confident balance between naturalism and decorative calm, so that the figurine functions both as a collector's item and as an atmospheric detail in the interior. The oval base in light green tones provides a fine contrast to the white rooster and completes the whole in a harmonious way.

A porcelain rooster like this fits beautifully in both classic and modern homes, where it can stand alone in a bookcase, on a chest of drawers, or as part of a small arrangement with other bird figurines and animal figurines. For collectors, the model number is an important detail, and for the design enthusiast, it is precisely the combination of Danish porcelain, strong design, and craftsmanship quality that makes the figurine interesting. At the same time, it is a good choice for those who are fond of older decorative art and wish to give a piece of porcelain with history a place in the home.

This Royal Copenhagen figurine is also an obvious gift idea for collectors of porcelain figurines, bird figurines, and Danish design. It has an expression that feels both timeless and personal, and it adds character to the room without seeming heavy.
