Royal Copenhagen Annual Figurine 2014, titled Matilde and designed by Sven Vestergaard. Matilde keep Alfred company when he is preparing the Christmas tree for the living room. Matilde reads for him from the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale The Fir Tree. Her book is rich illustrated with drawings of the Fir Tree. In Denmark we often have cold winters and Matilde is warm dressed to resist the cold. She is wearing warm boots, trousers and coat with scarf. Her red cap keeps her ears warm.
