Royal Copenhagen annual figure 2011 Ulrik - Sven Vestergaard

Royal Copenhagen annual figure 2011 Ulrik is a charming porcelain figure that captures Danish Christmas atmosphere in a calm and recognizable moment. The figure depicts the boy Ulrik standing with Christmas decorations for the tree, dressed in blue clothing and with an open, present expression. The red Dannebrog flags in his hands create a beautiful contrast to the classic blue shades that many collectors associate with Royal Copenhagen and underglaze decoration.

Ulrik is designed by Sven Vestergaard and belongs to Royal Copenhagen's annual figures, which since 2001 have been issued in pairs in relation to the year's Christmas plate. Precisely for that reason, the figure has extra interest for collectors: Ulrik is taken from the motif on Royal Copenhagen's Christmas plate from 2011 and thus makes the year's story three-dimensional. This gives the figure a special place both as an independent collector's item and as a natural companion to the Christmas plate from the same year.

The fine story of child, Christmas tree and Danish Christmas tradition makes the figure ideal as a Christmas figure in the home interior. It fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of an arrangement with other Christmas figures, Christmas plates and classic Christmas decorations. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen, it is also an obvious supplement to the series of annual figures, and for the one who is missing precisely the 2011 figure, Ulrik can be an important link in the collection.

As an older design object, the figure also contains the joy of preserving good craftsmanship and passing on quality design. Porcelain figures with history add personality to the home and are a sustainable choice for the one who wants classic Danish design with a long lifespan. Ulrik also works well as a gift for collectors or for the one who is fond of traditional Christmas with strong Danish symbols.
