Bing & Grøndahl Annual Angel Children 2010 Girl with Lucia wreath

The Annual Angel Children 2010 from Bing & Grøndahl - Royal Copenhagen depicts a little angel girl as a Lucia bride, captured in a quiet and atmospheric moment. The figure is designed by Sven Vestergaard and combines Christmas tradition, childlike closeness and classic Danish porcelain design in a small Christmas figurine with a big story. With her folded hands, white dress, wings and green Lucia wreath with candles, she conveys the peace and anticipation that belong to December and the Lucia procession.

The motif makes the figure ideal as an angel figurine for Christmas decorations, as part of a collection of Annual Angel Children or as a decorative porcelain figurine that can be brought out year after year. The light colour scheme with fine details in the face, hair and wreath gives the figure a gentle expression, and the slender, upright form makes it easy to place on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a Christmas arrangement together with other angels, elves or classic Christmas porcelain.

This figure belongs to the annual releases that many collectors follow closely, and the 2010 vintage in particular makes it easy to identify for both collectors and those who want a special Christmas gift with meaning. Beneath the glaze are the delicately executed colours, which help to emphasise the figure's calm and harmonious expression. It is a porcelain figurine with both collector's value and decorative value, and at the same time a fine example of how Christmas figurines with history and quality can gain new life in the home year after year.

A figure like this fits beautifully into both classic and more simple Christmas decorations. It can stand alone as a poetic feature or be combined with the corresponding boy figurine from the same year to complete the story of the Annual Angel Children 2010.
