This kind of comedy was given the name "Commedia dell´Arte" It is this "Comedy of Art" that gave Royal Copenhagen inspiration to the Commedia dell ´Arte range, which is made up of four figurines : Arlecchino, Colombona, Pierrot and Pulcinella. Arlecchino, or Harlequin in English, is known and loved for his colourful diamond cat suit and his romance with Colombina. His origin is the province of Bergamo. He is unpre- dictable and teasing, as well as brave and cunning.
