Royal Copenhagen 2024
The design of the 2024 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate is titled "Expectation's Joy" and depicts a young boy and his dog, eagerly watching as their parents decorate the Christmas tree. Therefore, the corresponding 2024 annual figurine is also a sweet dog, the child's best friend. The design of both the Christmas plate and the annual figurine is by Allan Therkelsen.
A new addition to the 2024 collection is an elegant candle holder that replaces the usual Christmas ornament. The candle holder is adorned with the recognizable wreath motif from the Christmas plates and is the perfect addition to any Christmas table or windowsill.
Royal Copenhagen continues to release a small Christmas plaquette, and this year marks the 40th anniversary of these. The plaquette features a winter motif of two small birds, designed by Dag Samsund, and is a timeless collectible that fits beautifully into the collection.
Also in 2024, the Annual Santa, Annual Christmas Tree, and Annual Mrs. Santa return. Santa plays a cheerful melody on his harmonica, singing in the Christmas spirit, while his wife joyfully dances to the music. Both figures are created by Sven Vestergaard, who also designed the beautifully decorated Christmas tree, which this year is adorned with symbols of faith, hope, and love.
Finally, Royal Copenhagen continues with their thermal cup and plate set, once again inspired by elements from the Christmas plate's design. This set is perfect for cozy holiday moments with warm drinks and Christmas treats and is also available without a saucer.
