Many people are replacing their angular and slanted, round screens with the cylindrical screen model. - This screen provides a more modern expression and is clearly the model that most people choose when they try out the different lamp shade models on their own lamps in the store.
The largest selection of sizes and colors is available in cylindrical screens
Our cylindrical lampshades are made of cotton/chintz and linen fabrics. Linen has more texture than cotton/chintz and goes well with more rustic ceramic lamps, while chintz is smoother and finer and goes well with porcelain lamps.
The fabric of the cylindrical lampshades is available in many different colors, including off white/white, yellow, blue, green, black, gray, beige, brown, red, etc. Use the filter at the top of the page to easily sort by color.

Due to our large selection of models and shapes, we always recommend that you bring your lamps with you when buying a new lampshade. This gives us the best opportunity to guide you to the perfect shade for your lamp.
This also applies if you need a lampshade similar to the one you have had before. Often, the old shade is not enough as we may not have a model that can be directly compared, but only resembles it.

What size lampshade fits my lamp?
Finding the right size lampshade for your lamp can be difficult. We suggest that you go to our 'Lamps' category and find a lamp of the same type, size, and shape as the lamp you have. - Under most of our table lamps, we show different shades that can fit this size lamp. This way, you can more easily assess which size and model you can use for your size lamp.
As a general rule, you should go for a lampshade that is 3/4 of the height of the lamp up to the bottom of the socket. So you can multiply the height of the lamp up to the socket by 0.75 to get a suitable height for the lampshade. This is not applicable in all cases but is a good rule of thumb.
How to measure lamp shades and lamps?
When buying a lampshade, you should pay attention to its measurements. At DPH Trading, we measure the top size, bottom size, and height of lampshades.
Top and bottom measurements of lampshades
We measure the top and bottom dimensions from straight side to straight side, and always on the longest side, as shown below.
Height of lampshades
The screen height is the vertical height, that is, the height that is measured straight down from the top, as seen in the picture below. However, this does not apply to pleated screens, where the side length is measured instead.
Height of lamps
Measure the height of your table lamp up to the socket, as indicated by the arrow. (Do not include the socket in the measurement).
Ways a lampshade can be attached to a lamp
There are several different ways to attach a cylindrical lampshade to a lamp, usually depending on the size.
1. Bulb pegs:
A bulb peg is clipped down over the bulb so that the lamp shade sits on the bulb. - There are different pear clips, but in these shades, the pear clips are intended for crown bulbs.
Only the smallest shades are supplied with a pear clip (up to 18 cm in height). The pear clip is practical for small shades where there is no room for a shade stand.

2. Carrier ring and Lamp shade rack
The carrier ring is a ring of approximately Ø 10 cm, which is mounted inside the lampshade. The carrier ring should rest on a lamp shade rack, which is mounted on the lamp, usually on the socket. The lamp shade rack can be adjusted in height so that the lamp shade can be raised or lowered in relation to the lamp.
Lamp shade racks can be purchased separately and mounted on most lamps. Be aware that there are several types and sizes of lamp shade racks.
3. With a fixed stand and without a lid
The lamp shade has a built-in stand that can be placed directly on sockets with socket rings. - The stand fits E27 sockets (Ø40 mm), and where described also E14 sockets (Ø31 mm).
Different colors on the lamp shade
We have screens in different colors, so you have something to choose from when your lamp needs a new shade. In the various size options in the overview above, you will also find the color options available for each screen size. Simply click on the color you want to take a closer look at. All color options are shown for each size.
As seen, cylindrical screens are available in white, off-white, beige, black, green, dark blue and light blue, pink, gray, red, yellow, as well as patterns with birds and other designs.
Which lamps are suitable for a cylindrical lampshade?
The answer is simple: Many! Cylinder lampshades are suitable for retro lamps, Heiberg lamps, various Chinese lamps, vintage lamps, Søholm lamps, modern lamps, and many more.
We suggest that you go to the 'Table Lamps' section and find a lamp of the same size and shape as the lamp you have. Under many of our table lamps, we display different shades that can fit this size of lamp. This way, you can more easily assess which size and model you can use for your lamp size.
