Chinese vases
We have imported Chinese vases for many years and afterwards made them to lamps in our assembly workshop in Odense. This means that the same pattern may be obtained on both lamp and vase. The Chinese porcelain vases are mostly characterized by many colours and decorations. Looking at the well-known Danish manufacturer of vases, such as Holmegaard and Rosendahl, these vases are usually more subdued and often plain. The Chinese vases are conspicuous in interior decoration and spreading life in the home. The colour red in China equals happiness and therefore the red colours is seen on many Chinese vases, both as a base colour and as part of the pattern.
The motifs of the Chinese vases vary from pure fantasy over landscapes to people. Often, the main motifs is surrounded by a kind of edge with decoration outside too. The Chinese women who are depicted in several of the Chinese vases, are often surrounded by beautiful flowers and landscapes, which gives an inner peace.
Our Chinese vases are available in numerous sizes from small jars or pots of 13 cm to large floor vases. The large floor vases are great for tall flowers or branches - such as willow branches, which are popular in the décor. A vase also looks beautiful with a great bouquet of real or artificial flowers.
