Royal Copenhagen porcelain bowls and ashtrays
Royal Copenhagen has manufactured a lot of different bowls, dishes and ashtrays in porcelain through the factory's long history. The Little Mermaid is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Denmark and it is annually visited by countless foreign tourists. It is also one of the most famous H.C. Andersen fairytale and has many fans throughout the world. Throughout the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory history, the factory effects have been known in many parts of the world and it is obvious that Royal Copenhagen has produced several porcelain bowls and ashtrays depicting the Little Mermaid.
Of other popular Royal Copenhagen porcelain bowls, the bowl with crayfish and the bowl with lobster have to be mentioned. Bowls are often been used as ashtrays and many refer to them as crab ashtray or ashtray with crab. There may also be doubts whether it is a crab or a lobster, that is depicted on the second ashtrays, so this is known both as ashtrays with crayfish and ashtrays with lobster.
