Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl porcelain figurines of seals and sea lions
Bing & Grondahl has made a series of three white seals in various positions. One lies on his back, one on the side and one on the abdomen. The figurines are approximately 14 cm and provides a charming family. Bing and Grondahl has also released a porcelain sea lion and a baby seal.
In 2003 Royal Copenhagen launched a series of animals with cubs, which they called Motherly Love. The series was designed by the artist Allan Therkelsen and portrait animal families with mother and child. The seal family consists of seal with young, single seal pup - who is scratching behind its ear - and a porcelain figurine of two pups.
Besides the Motherly Love series, the factory had also previously released figurines of sea lions.
