Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl frog figurines
In 2007 Royal Copenhagen published a series of colored frogs, sitting on a stone. The frogs symbolize harmony, dreams, happiness and love. The figurines were unfortunately only released over a very brief period from 2007-2008 to 2010, when the series was discontinued.
Royal Copenhagen has released a bowl with frog in white version and a version where the frog has its natural green color. In addition, the factory has released a small figurine of a frog sitting on a stone, which is also produced in both white and natural colors.
Bing and Grondahl has only released a few figurines of frogs - among other the figurine of frog ready to jump number B2467.
The symbolic meaning of the frog
Frogs are a very special animal, and they have through history had the symbolic role as the magic and sjamatic animal. Often the frogs come with a message about transformation. This because frogs often come forward in rainy periods, and after a rainy period the nature always changes. The constant coacking are seen as a symbol that the frogs are forever grateful.
