Bing & Grondahl dishes and bowls
Bing & Grondahl has produced a large variation of different bowls and dishes that range from the very simple to the very ornate like for instance the waterlily dish that has many carvings and colors. They have also produced a number of dishes with figurines that sit somewhere on the dish. This can be seen in Greenlander on bowl, where we see a greenlander sitting by the ice rim, while looking into the cold arctic waters. A Similar dish was made with Thumbelina from the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, where she sits on the leaf that makes the dish. You can almost sense how Thumbelina floats down the river on the leaf of the waterlily on her way to the toad's son and finally to the angel of the flower on the back of the swallow.
The selection of Bing & Grondahl dishes and bowls also contains the many small dishes with motifs of different Danish sights. These of course include classics like the little Mermaid, Kronborg and the towers of Copenhagen.
The Christmas jubilee plates from Bing & Grondahl that have been issued every fifth year since 1915 are truly well suited to be used as serving dishes for all kinds of goodies and cold cuts.
Likewise well suited for serving all kinds of sweets for tea or coffee are our own cake stands in three layers made from amongst others the Christmas jubilee plates. You also have the opportunity to make your own cake stands by buying fittings, dishes and plates that fit your taste and make your own unique etageres from them. This gives you an excellent opportunity to make your own personal mark on the table by choosing motifs that have a special meaning to you.
Dishes and bowls for holding fruits and candy have also been made in a large number by Bing & Grondahl. They can both be used for serving and for decoration, where they break the monotony and give something extra to the decor. There is always a dish or bowl that fits the occasion and what is better than being able to bring something extra and unique to the table rather than just a white dish without decoration.
Many of the smaller dishes would also be perfect for serving sushi and other east Asian fish dishes, which are served in small portions. Thus you can make these dishes into a very different tableware service with square plates with interesting motifs. On the small dishes there can also be sauces etc. for the delicious dishes.
