Fanny Garde

In 1886, Fanny Gaarde was employed at Bing & Grondahl's porcelain factory where she got a studio together with her friend Effie Frederikke Nicoline Octavia Hegermann-Lindencrone

Fanny Garde was employed to do decoration work to The Heron dinnerware - The Heron set was on display at the Nordic Industrial, Agricultural and Art Exhibition in Copenhagen in 1888, the year after (1889) at the World Exhibition in Paris, and was in 1900 Bing & Grondahl's first major sales success in underglaze painting

Fanny Gaarde was one of the first female porcelain painters who were allowed even to draft new models F.G. worked a lot with underglaze painting, later also with cracked porcelain

She was a very industrious artist who among other things, created a lot of art and crafts, vases, etc.

The best known today is probably the Seagull set, where she created the white bird in the blue sky - It was August Hallin already in the 1880s created the sets scale design with the relief-like network drawings
